The winery is located in the small rural community of Lewiston about half way between Trinity Center and Redding off Trinity Dam Road. This is a beautiful winding drive through the local coastal hills to the southern most end of Trinity Lake. The winery is one of the few that offers tasting at the winery daily. The Winery:
Even in this wine region of remotely located wineries, this 130 acre estate is a ways from anywhere. The winery is located in the river valley of Hyampom tucked away in the Trinity Alps on the far western edge of Trinity County. This is incredibly beautiful area of wild rivers and tall trees. They offer tours and tasting by appointment only.

The Winery: Shasta View is located very near Neveu on Ager road with that unbelievable view across the valley to Mount Shasta in the distance. These two wineries, northeast of the city of Yreka are the furthest north in the state and seems an unlikely place to find grapes. However, the low mountain topography, very cold winters and hot summers are not unlike parts of France. The winery offers no tasting at the winery, which is a shame, but you can find the wines in local stores and restaurants. Read More |
